Sylphyo
Reset the Sylphyo via the menu:
- Hold the Aodyo key on the front and swipe up from the bottom of the slider to access the menu.
- Navigate down using either the slider or the first and third octave keys from the top.
- Select the reset option at the bottom of the menu by tapping the middle octave key (2nd from the top) or tapping on the slider.
- Go through the initial setup procedure indicated on the screen.
- This resets the Sylphyo to factory settings.
Make sure you are not touching the keys when turning on the instrument.
Reinstall the latest firmware update on BOTH the Sylphyo and the Link.

Make sure the Sylphyo and Link are connected to the computer directly, and NOT through a hub or dongle.
If the update fails or does not start on the Sylphyo, you can force it using the following procedure:
- Turn off the Sylphyo.
- Start the update utility on your computer.
- Connect your Sylphyo to your computer.
- Cover the hole at the bottom of the Sylphyo.
- Blow hard into the instrument and turn it on at the same time.
- This should force the Sylphyo to update.
If the update fails or does not start on the Link, you can force it using the following procedure:
- Start the update utility on your computer.
- Turn off your Link and plug it in.
- Press the down button on your Link while turning it on.
- This should force the Link to update.
If your Sylphyo and Link are not paired, you must:
- Navigate down the menu as explained in step 3 above until you see the “Wireless (Link)” option.
- Make sure that option is checked.
- Go down one step to the “Receiver Device” option, and select it.
- The Sylphyo will now start looking for a Link receiver.
- Make sure the Link is plugged in and turned on.
- Click both front panel buttons on the Link at the same time.
- The LED should turn orange while the Link is in pairing mode.
- The Link and Sylphyo should automatically find each other and pair.
- Once paired, the Link LED will turn green and will become blue when the breath signal is sent through the Sylphyo.
- You can now turn off both the Link and Sylphyo and they will be paired automatically when turned back on.
Your Sylphyo may have been left discharged too long, it may need 48 hours of charging for proper operation.
