Walk Off the Earth is a band formed in 2006 in Burlington (Ontario, Canada) around Ryan Marshall (guitar, ukulele, keyboards, vocals), Gianni Luminati (guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, drums, keyboards, vocals), Sarah Blackwood (piano, guitar, vocals), and Joel Cassady (drums). They are well-known for their humorous pop-rock music with punk accents.
They became famous for a cover of Gotye’s song “Somebody That I Used to Know” on YouTube, where all the members of the band are shown playing on the same guitar simultaneously. The video was immensely successful, being watched by more than 42 million people in less than a month.
In their 2019 world tour, Walk Off the Earth used the Sylphyo for the first time on stage for their title, “Fire in my Soul”.
